Press Release: Dr. Paul C. Kerr

Get to know Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Paul C. Kerr, who serves patients in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Dr. Kerr is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon who is affiliated with the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Among his professional roles, Dr. Kerr served as Chief Clinical Associate of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic from 1999 until 2000. He also served as Chief of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery at the University of Missouri from 2001 until 2003. Pertaining to his educational background, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California in 1986. He then went on to complete a residency in general surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Hospitals in 1991. This was followed by a residency in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 1989, and a residency in thoracic surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1993.
