Paul C. Kerr, DO, FACS, FCCP, attended the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 1986. Furthermore, he conducted his general surgery residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1986-1991), including a surgical oncology residency at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (1988-1989). Subsequently, he completed his training in thoracic surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (1991-1993). In addition, he completed a surgical critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN (2005-2006), as well as a cardiac surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN (2012-2013). Dr. Kerr received board certification in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (1994, recertified 2016), board certification in thoracic surgery from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (1995) and board certification in surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery (2016).
